Sfakaki is 11 km far from Rethymno, our nearest car rental station www.eurocars.gr is only three km far.

There is nothing special to see in Sfakaki exept a nice sandy beach and a few small hotels !!

Sfakaki is not really a genuine village.  There is an old Monastery of Arsanion on the way to the neighbouring village of Pagalohori which is interesting for visit and from there if you follow the old road you can also go to Arkadi monastery which is almost 23 km far on the hills.

In the East there is a not too deep gorge and this is the border between Sfakaki and the much bigger neighbouring village of Stavromenos.
